State Exams
The state of Mississippi offers state exams to students to help assess the academic success of students and the overall quality of schools. The exams, known as MAAP assessments (Mississippi Academic Assessment Program) provide crucial information to families about the growth of students and are the leading determinants as to whether charter schools are permitted to remain open.
Students take an English exam and a math exam every year they are at Midtown. Additionally, for grades 5 and 8, students also have a state assessment in science. Take a practice MAAP test.
